The 165mm long x 42mm tall blade. House made san mai Spicy White (26C3) carbon steel core with a low carbon steel cladding.

The blade has a kurouchi (forged) finish with wide etched bevels. The choil and spine have been rounded and polished for user comfort. The blade has strong distal taper 3.76mm above the heel, 2.66mm at the midpoint and 0.8mm 1cm from the tip.

The tapered octagonal handle is 135mm long and is constructed from stabilised and highly figured Maple with a thin black G10 spacer. The balance point is just behind my makers mark.

50:50 symmetrical grind suitable for both right and left handed users, thin behind the edge for increased cutting performance.

Weight is 138 grams.
